Maged Shendy - Obstetrics and Urogynaecology Professional

Maged Shendy has been a consultant obstetrician and urogynaecologist for the past five years. He has extensive experience delivering specialist women’s health services within the National Health Service (NHS). Maged Shendy studied at the Alexandria School of Medicine, and later trained in obstetrics and gynaecology in the UK.

During his specialist training, Mr. Shendy completed multiple advanced training skills modules, which strengthened his expertise in complex pelvic floor conditions and high-risk obstetrics. Today, he is a consultant obstetrician and urogynaecologist at North Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust. He holds several leadership responsibilities across three hospital sites. He acts as clinical lead for obstetrics, audit lead, and leader of clinical governance reviews, ensuring patient safety and prompt action on clinical incidents. His leadership directly supports the delivery of high standards of care across maternity and gynaecology services. He hold Membership of the royal college of obstetrics and gynaecology (MRCOG) and the European board of obstetrics and gynaecology (EFOG-EBCOG).

In addition to his management roles, Maged Shendy runs specialist urogynaecology clinics that incorporate menopause referrals, advice and guidance services, and multidisciplinary training. He participates weekly in antenatal, general gynaecology, and urogynaecology clinics, and leads elective caesarean section lists. His clinical practice covers complex procedures such as pelvic floor repairs, vaginal hysterectomies, and Botox treatments. Mr. Shendy is also one of only 29 surgeons in the UK trained to perform autologous fascial sling surgery for stress incontinence.
